How to make the Party Scratch Promo work

I manage to get my $5 with IE but when I won a portable panasonic 9" DVD recorder today, so did I have to install firefox on my computer to make it work....

Do someone now what kind of DVD recorder this is? Is it a extern dvd recorder you conect to computer only or can you conect it to your TV too?

I had to update to newest version of Java with IE, now it works fine
