Default is a 45 player SNG a SNG or a Tourney

I keep exact stats on everything I do - I usually put 1 and 2 table SNG's in the SNG column

today I played a 45 player one - I'm debating whether that's a SNG or a Tourney - since SNG's are usually one or two table -

what do you guys do in this spot....

Whiskey:

I've been doing the same thing. I track my stt's in a different sheet though, and consider everything else a MTT (2 table and up).

In my spreadsheet, though, I have a field that distinguishes between sng mtt's and normal mtt's (so I can track results seperately if wanted).

In my opinion - and that's all it is, an opinion - I've always felt that 45-person tournaments are MTTs and not SNGs.

I think they are Mini Tournaments. The turbos are the best.

If they don't have an official starting time and start as soon as they are filled AND it is more then two tables I would call it a Multi-table-Sit'n'Go.

I file 2+ table SNGs in the MTT column. Keeping exact records rocks, btw. Kudos.

If you are into records, just include the number of players (and players to a table!) for all tournaments in your database. The information is relevant--the label (MTT, SNG, whatever) is not!

I am keeping notes on a piece of paper on how many 45 person sng's i enter and the dollar amount i cash on each ..
can someone suggest a better way to track my sng's so i can more easily find gaps in my game?

Well, of course I have # of entrants recorded for each tournament. But since I'm not going to keep separate sub-sums for 97-entrant MTTs and 96-entrant MTTs, I aggregate over somewhat wide range of games. 2+ table SNGs go into the MTT totals. I think they have strategic considerations closer to MTTs than to 1-table SNGs. I can't really say what those considerations are, lacking the necessary verbalization skills.
