Default 30-60 river check raise

Not sure how much I like this in retrospect vs a turn 3bet and lead river line. Figured I would post to get some comments. So, any thoughts here?

Haven't played too long with villain, so no good reads. If pressed, my initial impression would be that he is a losing player.

push the turn and lead the river. Probably was a sad attempt at a blinds steal gone wrong for him.

Against an unknown or weak player you can go ahead and 3-bet the turn and lead the river. Way more often than not you will get called down by any pair and sometimes even A hi. Plus a lot of players might raise the turn in that spot hoping to fold you out right there or get a free showdown at the river. Against a tough player capable of laying down a pair to a turn 3-bet I like the river checkraise.

Feels too much like FPS to me. He might be raising the turn for a free showdown with a hand like 55, which would really suck.
