Default ($11) First hand and everyone is limping

Quick question -- first hand of an $11 (10/15 blinds), I'm in the CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and everyone has limped so far. I threw this away, but then I was curious if there is a good argument for calling (I won't even hint at pushing) given the pot odds. For simplicity sake assume that everyone calls (which is what happened -- less me), so $15 to call a pot of $135.

I think the hand is so horrible I just sit back and make notes on what everyone else shows.

If I'm feeling particularly sadistic, I'll thrown in a raise of $135 to wake everyone up. Sometimes you take the pot right then and there.

One problem with that move. First hand still 3-4 big fish who will call anything. I would save the few chips for later. What if the flop comes and you hit your q, feel comfortable with the 7. Save the chips and later turn those 15 into 30 when a fish calls your nuts with 2nd pair

FYP

No need for that kind of FPS junk to win money on an 11. This aint the final table of the WPT. Let the donks do this kind of crap, be patient, sit this one out.

I can honestly say that it is possible to slaughter the 11s without ever bluffing in levels one or two. In fact, never bluffing EARLY against these opponents is the proper strategy.

It depends. You've got position, which makes it easier to stack people, and a nice big pot to take down if you hit two pair or trips... Your trips and two pair won't suck completely.

I think I limp here most of the time, and look for those monsters.

I fold because I don't want to make decisions in 10-way pots. If you know how to play a 10-way flop well (I sure as hell don't), go ahead.

Pot odds and position are okay to good, but Button, SB & BB are still to act, and If they raise, you are folding.

10 handed post-flop play is scarry. Basically, unless I flop a boat or a strait (with no flush draw on board), I'm folding to a bet and multiple callers on the flop.
