Default Responding to a donk bet...

Villian is weird. Very passive preflop-- I dont think he's raised once in the 30 mins or so I've been at the table. He seems to have mood changes post-flop. Sometimes your typical calling station. Sometimes he donk-bets the flop, then check-folds the turn. Earlyer he check-called the flop & turn then Donk bet the river with Q9 unpaired(my hand was good)

So..What is the better standard line here?

5-handed

Dummy limps in the CO. I raise K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button. Both blinds fold.

Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Dummy checks, I bet, Dummy calls

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

1. Dummy bets, I raise?

2. Dummy bets, I call, planning to raise any river card?

3. Dummy bets, I call, planning on just calling any river card?

I would call and raise a river 3,J or K, call any other.

I'd raise the turn again. Probably the river too if he donks again.

Id either:

Raise and obviously bet/Raise a 3/J and probably a King otherwise take a free SD/call.

OR...

Call down bet if he checks to you.

i think i prefer the first line.

Why would you raise a K? Do you put him on AJ or J6 exactly?

They are certainly probable hands, and I think the decision to raise instead of call is close enough that the K pushes it over the boundary into a raise.
