Pirates Lloyd McClendon Fired
[ QUOTE ]
"We've been losing two of every three games -- that's not acceptable," Littlefield said. "We haven't been performing relative to our talent level. It became evident we needed to try something different. It wasn't working. ... We were underperforming." ~ Dave Littlefield [/ QUOTE ] God I'm sick of these assholes... when you trade away any talent that we do develop for no good bums and make such GREAT signings as Derrick Bell & Raul Mondesi, what do you expect? Now these morons won't discuss a long-term deal with Jason Bay because they can still get him on the cheap for 1 more year and arbitration for 2 more years. I'm so sick of these assholes. You say McClendon has to go, I say that flammer Mclatchy and his butt buddy Littlefield have to go. |

Re: Pirates Lloyd McClendon Fired
McClendon should not have any trouble finding work. Pirates management are morans beyond belief. No team will win in the NL Central without a payroll of at least $80-85 million. Even with all the Cards injuries they are still coasting to a division title.

Re: Pirates Lloyd McClendon Fired
I thought Lloyd did a good job, perhaps you will see him in Arizona, as I am sure Melvin will be fired soon.

Re: Pirates Lloyd McClendon Fired
Man, he was fun to watch too. I remember when he got thrown out of a game, and "stole" 1st base on his way out. Classic.

Re: Pirates Lloyd McClendon Fired
They speculated on Baseball Tonight that Jim Leyland may come back as a replacement... probably best Pirates news since 1992.
