Re: AA Weak River at Party 50
Thats a definate value bet on the river. He could easily have a mid pocket pair, k9, a9. If he has the 4, so be it, but you have to bet there. I think $15 seems like a good amount on the river. He'll call you with top pair or any pocket pair since he's already pot commited, so this isnt a case where if you bet he either folds or raises.

Re: AA Weak River at Party 50
[ QUOTE ]
Bet 1/2 pot on the river. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this is solid OP: The best time to check behind on the river is when a draw missed, so the most likely hand for an opponent is something like ace/king high (cant call a bet) or a monster (which will check raise you, or perhaps just check hoping to induce a bluff/value bet from weaker hand) Or when a draw hits, and you suspect the villain either had it (and therefore will c/r you) or is afraid of it (and wont pay a bet with something like top pair bad kicker/etc) On this board it's very drawless, and given villain checked the river, I wouldn't be afraid of trips. Bet as much as top pair will call. Against TRICKY players who will c/r on this type of board (rare) checking behind is ok, but you're missing value here. |
