Default A Tale of Cheating, Shania, and the Karma of the Poker Gods.

Ok, this thread has nothing to do with shania, but there is some cheating and karma sprinkled in here. I had to get your guys attention somehow right?

So I went to the Turningstone tournament yesterday and was pleased by the better blind structure. After I got eliminated, I hooked up with a friend and he was telling me about his tournament. Let's call this guy "Joe".

Apparently, Joe was sitting at one of the tables last to break, and one of the other players at the table wouldn't conceal his cards. Let's call this guy Bob. Bob looked to be an internet tournament player with the glasses and everything, and was pretty meh. Every time Bob would go to look at his hole cards, he would lift them off the table with one hand, and Joe would see his hand EVERY TIME. Joe didn't have to change his body position to see his cards, he was sitting in the 8 seat while Bob was in the 5 seat. The cards were in his line of vision.

So Joe was thinking that this table would be a cakewalk. All cash money hoes.

Here are the hands that Joe played against Bob.

Hand #1:

Blinds 25-25. Both stacks are about 2.5k

Joe sees that Bob has ATs

Bob opens from MP. Joe coldcalls on the button with 23o. Blinds fold.

Flop: Q97r

Bob bets, Joe raises, Bob folds.

Hand #2:

Blinds 25-25. Joe has 4k. Bob has a little over 2k.

Joe sees that Bob has T6o.

UTG3 limps, Bob limps in MP2, Joe calls on the button with A2o.

Flop: AA6r

So Joe is thinking "awesome". I will massage bet this guy.

UTG3 checks, Bob bets 150, Joe raises to 325. UTG3 folds. Bob calls.

Turn: 7

Bob checks, Joe bets 175, Bob raises to 600. Joe calls.

River: 3

Bob bets 600. Joe raises to 1100 putting Bob allin. Bob calls.

Joe flips over his A2o proudly. Bob flips over ATo!! JOE MISSAW HIS HAND! So Joe feels like an idiot at this point, but figures that its all fine. Bob has alot of chips now and they will shortly become Joe's. Right?

Hand #3:

Blinds are 25-50. Joe has 2k. Bob has lots of chips.

Joe sees that Bob is donning pocket 6s.

Bob opens in MP for 150. Joe calls on the button with 22.

Flop: Ts9s3d

Bob bets 200.

Now Joe is wondering what he should do. Should he fold this here? Bob is a pretty tight player even though he's bad.

Joe opts to raise to 600.

Bob looks him up and down, gets his read and decides to push allin for the rest of Joe's stack.

Joe mucks.

Hand #4:

Blinds are 50-100. Joe has about 1k and Bob has a mountain.

Bob limps in from MP with T8s.

Joe pushes allin from the CO with K9o.

Everyone folds.

Hand #5:

Blinds are 75-150. Joe has 2.5k. Bob still is a mountain.

Bob limps in from MP with 67[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Joe raises to 700 with Q2s. Bob makes the horrible call.

Flop: 6cTs9s

(LOL)

Bob checks. Joe checks.

Turn: another spade

Bob bets. Joe mucks.

Joe was eliminated shortly after this, running into aces twice.

That ladies and gentlemen, is what you get for cheating.

What the....did Bob think he was playing "indian" or something? How could "Joe" in #8 possibly see a #5 players hand without him waving them around like a flag? I dunno, maybe he was...

Not to be a stinker, but ones eyes are a part of the body. Unless Bob literally waved his cards in front of Joe's face, he moved at least a part of his body to see Joes cards.

Yeah that's what happens when you cheat.

BTW, the Shania lure worked well.

I figure Shania was in the 4 seat and he was not reading cards, he was taking a helicopter tour of the grand canyon.
