Yikes yes but I'll come to his defense. This is a tourney so the typical ring game decisions are not really applicable.

The blinds were 50/100 and he had a stack of about 2200 this is a relatively small stack with blinds at this level. What was the average size stack at the time and how much time remained until the blinds increased to the next level?

This appears to be one of those situations were once you enter the flop you know your whole stack is going in. Once he called the preflop raise his M was about 8 (see Harrington for a complete discussion of M) and if the blinds were soon to rise then you would soon be in a push mode.
