PokerSpot was popular. Russ Boyd mixed player's deposts with his operating capital; this would be illegal in most countries. He continued to accept deposits when he knew he coudln't pay (that is the part tha mkes him a thief). He did not go bankrupt, he kept the remaining assets (software) for himself while not paying creditors. I would consider Russ Boyd worse than a common criminal; if a gambler doesn't have his word of honor he has nothing.
