Late Tourney - Push or Fold
This post could be Home Poker, but it's also a Short-Handed Question.
Home Tourney - 14 down to 4. I'm on the button. SB has 4000. BB has 1000. UTG has 13000. Button has 10000. Blinds 400-800. Top 4 paid (140-80-40-20). UTG, who is TAG and a player who I respect, raises to 4000 (to put both blinds all-in). I've got 10-10. I know calling is a terrible play here. If I fold, I'm guaranteeing at worst 2nd place and $80. If I push and lose, I bring 3rd or 4th into play. If I push and win, I'm in real good shape when we're down to heads-up? |

HUSH is mainly a limit 6max cash game forum; you'd get more informed responses from the 1-table tournament forum.

Re: Late Tourney - Push or Fold
I don't understand why calling is so bad here. You will encourage SB/BB to stay in to try and triple up, and if UTG is a good player (and you both know each other to be good), you can work together to knock them out.
