Often villians who are a) dumb and b) express their dumbness by betting small then calling a raise have trouble folding subsequent streets because they convince themselves that you were only betting into their 'weakness'. Nothing is better than having abig hand when one of these guys small bets you. But I thought you played the hand fine.

And yeah hand 2 you definitely just call the bet. And then call any further bet even if the board pairs, against that villian.
