Default Post Flop Aggression

I need some help with my post flop play, but I'm not sure what it is. My Poker Tracker stats tell me I am tight agressive/passive. I can't seem to move that passive
post-plop play categorization to aggressive.

I look for opportunities to raise on the turn and river, but I don't seem to get them. Once I hit the flop I usually come out blazing to protect my hand unless there is a very good opportunity for a check raise.

Once I have the lead, the other players will generally either fold or call me down.

On the occasions I do get raised on the turn, I generally assume that top pair is beaten and then determine if I should reraise or call depending on my hand.

I am very willing to raise very strong draws against multiple players when the value is appropriate.

I don't get it, I am begging for opportunities to raise, but "prudent value" opportunities just don't seem to exist at the level required to get out of the passive mode for post flop play. The only thing I can think of is that I am getting some horrible short term luck on draws/redraws.

Does anyone have any idea what types of situations I could be missing?

Are we sure that aggressive rating for Poker Stats post flop play isn't actually too aggressive?

If by some chance you have the "Include Pre-flop numbers in Total Aggression Factor calculation" box checked, this will significantly lower your overall aggression numbers.

It doesn't sound like you do have that box checked, but I thought I'd bring it up, just in case the answer is that simple.

I don't. But thanks for the response. I didn't even know that existed. :-)

The way you describe your play, it's hard for me to believe you aren't at least TA-N. Are you using bisonbison's stat profiles?

No, I am using the default set up. Do you have a link to his standards?

Hmmmmm, preflop agression is easy and you probably have that. Your turn and river sound fine.

Have you considered betting/raising for information? (Dont raise if the opponent is tight) For example you have K3 on a KT5 board, do you bet with top pair no kicker? You should to get info.

Also, with AT on a board of KT3 you should bet for info too. Makes subsequent streets much easier and you can get players with better hands to fold such as K2 in the above if player is tight.

Dont go overboard with it though, works best with 2-4 opponents.

Alternatively you may just not be hitting anything worth being aggressive over. I take it your hand size is small (under 5k)

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to create a link.

But I did just bump the thread, which is called "Some notes on notes."
