Default 10/20 Commerce Aces

1st hand post so bare with me:

7 handed in small blind with Aces
Villian who just sat down with about 4k in $25 chips (just came from a limit game-I have never seen him before) raises to 120 I cover

Good/tricky regular calls utg+1
folded to me I make it 400 to go (I make this bet as a steal often enough but villian is obviously unaware)
Villian thinks for a few seconds and calls
utg+1 folds

Flop(940): 73K suits don't matter
I check he bets 630 I call

turn: 73KK
I check villian checks

River(2200): 73KK7
I check villian bets $1000
Hero???

Comments on all would be appreciated

I think you played it fine if you thought you were trying to set up a trap on the flop. I would fold that river.

La-I typically bet this flop but had a feeling he hit his set of K's. Without knowing villian, I put him on queens or kings possibly jacks preflop.

I guess my line of thinking was I am either crushed or way ahead and I don't want to lose my stack in this situation and can call down not to concerned with free cards

After checking the flop, I initially felt the turn K was a decent card until he checked behind.

Looking for a better line overall

thanks

I like the raise preflop. B/c you are in the SB, and will be 1st to act the entire way through, its impt that you bet high enough, that way it will be easier to define ur opponenets hand.

On the flop, I like the check, but I would have reraised him instead of calling. If he has AK, you want to get the money in asap before scary cards come. Likewise with KQ. THere is not point to give him a free card, b/c most likely the only cards that will give u action may complete his set or trips.

I would have raised the turn
