Default One for mike l. (You others can read it, too)

40-80 live game, 10 handed.

UTG is a terrible player. He limps. It's folded to me and I'm in the cutoff with KQo. The button is tight and may end up reading this. I raised. Button folds.

I've never seen the SB before, but he is loose and passive and is really bad. He 3 bets. The BB is John, a guy who I like to play pots with when I have position. He's very aggressive, plays too many hands, but is a good card reader. However, he has a hard-on to try to beat me. It's not that he doesn't like me; he really just thinks I'm the livest player in the game. Always.

Anyway, John caps it. UTG calls 3 more back to him, obviously. I call. SB calls. 4 people to the flop for 102 bets.

Flop: K-2-2. Rainbow.

SB checks, John bets. UTG folds (!). I raise immediately. To my relief, SB folds. John 3 bets. I say "see you at the river, John" and call.

Turn is some rag. He bets, I call.

River is a Q. He bets and I raise.

Edit: I also was going to raise any river, too. The fact that I hit a Q just made it more fun.

Comments? I can't remember a time when I was in a 4-way capped pot with KQo, but it felt very right here.

Seems incredibly standard given your descriptions. What do you do if he 3 bets the river?

I assume you're asking 4-bet or call, because there is no way he can possibly fold, right?

Default Yawn . . .

How boring. I hope he has AA, not AK. I expect you won, or it wouldn't have been posted.

How about your comment about planning to raise non-Q rivers as well?

True. I should have included that, too. I'll make an edit.

Were you trying to induce bluffs here? Or was this just for fun?

Nice hand.

6 ways he has AA, 6 for AK, 1 for KK.

why would u raise the river if you didn't hit the Q?...and why sould you raise it if you DID hit the Q? 6/13 hands pay off. 6/13 hands beat you and MAYBE 3 bet you since is pretty clear you like the Q and have a K. 1/13 hands 3 bets you and you're toast. that is a fundamental TOP just shy of requisite calling requirements mistaken raise.

is he ever ever ever going to fold for that last bet since he has a hard on to beat you? does he ever have anything other than those hands? i dont think so to both.

Seems like, from the description, we should at least include some other pocket pairs.
