Now I dont see why I would be beaten here but I cant think of any hand Villain could have that would call my all in that im beating. If I raise whatsoever Im pot committed to an all in and I have 500 left, I didnt want to go broke to QJ or QT which makes the most sense to me here aside from a ridiculously slowly played AK/98, a set seems almost impossible. How bad is this just call with the third nut? Final Pot: $475 |

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
remember, there are definitely people that open limp JJ TT AKo in EP at a full table.
Maybe 6 handed I could see that "A set is nearly impossible", but not here. You really need to pop this river, you're beating too many hands he will call with. |

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
I doubt some1 shows you a bigger boat given flop and turn action. I would think a hand like QJ or QT would wanna get more money in on flop/turn. On the river, i think you would most def be called by a queen, i dont see any other 2 pair turned boat hands here. I also dont see many other hands, other than a bare queen calling here. But since villain would prolly raise pf wit AQ or KQ, i dont think the call is too bad.
I dont know if i like the flop CR tho, i would prefer leading with such a hand. Is there a particular reason you tried to CR that flop? I thnik if you lead that flop, youll be called with a Jack or better, a CR lets those type of hands get away too easy. |

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
What is your reasoning for not betting the flop?

Is this common or an anomaly? These were the first 3 hands i discounted from villains range. |

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
you're telling me he's checking the flop with top two, or smooth calling with a turned queens up, and minraising the river with a house?

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
Have to bet that flop. A flop c/r lets people off too easy.

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
raise.
you have the 3rd nuts, and villains play isn't in line with the 1st or 2nd nuts. hit it a lick. |

Re: Dubious Full House 5/10 NL
I dont usually check raise with two pair, and would have only check raised certain players on this board, and check called and then lead a safe turn for the pot.
I was planning on check raising just to mix it up, I don't check raise from the blinds enough and my opponents should know this and be taking advantage of it; not sure if this is the best flop for it of course. The river raise to me is a bit more than min, I felt that Villain had a monster. I just didnt think he would play a set in this manner because of our previous play together, which I didnt explicitly say. I still let any Q off the hook as well as the straights. I felt pretty nitty after the hand but the stack sizes on the river felt so weird. I go broke alot with near nut hands (duh) |
