If This Wasn't the Tightest Game.....

Went into yesterday still needing 186 FPP's to clear my deposit bonus from Stars.Since it was the last day of a week off I figured that would be a good accomplishment for the day.

Stars gives you one FPP for each raked hand at the 2-4 level with the rake starting at $20. So I figure,ok,I'm gonna have to play 250-275 hands depending on how tight the game is to earn the FPP's needed.No problem,right?

Well 482 hands later I finally had enough to clear the bonus.That's right,482 hands of which only 186 had a pot big enough to rake.That's like 40%.Heck,I saw 21% of the flops for the session(including blinds)and I think I was the live one!Even made me nostalgic for the old mid-week 6-12 stud games at Foxwoods which were tighter than a bull's arse in fly season.

OK,I've vented.Next hand dealer.

Ring games on PokerStars are the tightest. Especially the 2/4 holdem game.

Often the 10-20 has a higher flop% than the 2-4. Kind of funny.

You think you have it bad, I am trying to get 10K for the tourney! It can be awful sometimes. The games are rock tight, and they keep breaking. Fortunately, the rock tight players are pretty easy to beat, but there are a number of super loosies/maniacs that hit and run so you need to pay attention. At 2-4 it can be brutal, because you get all of the nits who want points without ever putting money in the pot., 3-6 there is usually the best game (meaning meerly bad) with a decent share of l/a players. 5-10 doesn't fill up too much, and only really goes until the one fish leaves, at which point it drops to 15%/35 until it breaks. The 10-20 can be decent at times, but there are much better and more consistant games elsewhere. Call me a bot-shill-terrorist, but I think it would help their ring games a lot if they got some props to keep their games more consistant. Only 1364 more points to go!
