Default Re: True microw challange 1k in 60 days

I'm in. Unfortunately a week late it seems, so I'll give myself 53 days starting today.

I'll be playing 0.5/1, 1/2, and 2/4. Goal 1K.

To get up to speed with you guys I could also state this another way:

Week 1: 0 sessions, $0 won, 0 hands played.

I've got to shape up...

As more or less your partner (assosciate) in this challenge. I urge you to keep fighting. Though I will say this conclusion that I have reached about this challenge. It does not matter if you reach it. Don't stress, don't push it you will only end up playing badly. Play because you wanna give it a shot as a goal not because you have to reach it. Poker is about the long term, these challenges are just to focus you for a while to do the best you can. I think you can do it or at least get close, and if not it doesn't mean you have to quit poker, or that you're not worthy to be here or any of that bull. Just do the best you can and know that it's the same thing everyone on these forums is trying to do whether they set such a challenge or not, we're all trying to do our best (well ok most of us are). If it's no fun anymore or if it's causing you to stress, let it go, but don't give up on things just cause pokers a grind sometimes. You've got the talent, do the best you can with it and remember 60 days, a year, 10K hands is nothing in terms of a poker career, just as long as you learn and improve from every session and from these boards.

Most importantly, have a good time, poker is a great game and a lot of fun don't let something like this stress you out. If you make it GREAT, if you don't but you learn something in those 60 days GREAT, if you keep setting goals one day, maybe not as soon as you'd like, but one day you will reach them, but allways backing down is -EV
