AA with 30+ BB pot

A quick note about the SuperLAG. A few hands before this, he 3-bet me on the turn with only top pair so-so kicker (I had an overpair, called him down, and took down the pot). So, he's capable of some crazy play, although I've never seen him go crazy with a complete bluff.

Having said that, do I cap the river or just call?

Cap the turn. If he'll 3 bet top pair so so kicker on the turn in another hand, he'll 3 bet an overpair here.

Why not cap the river, its only one more big bet! This doesn't seem close at all.

Seriously, you think he'd cap preflop with 89s??

Seems like the obvious KK or 1010, but then again LAGs are tough to put on hands.

Cap the river. It's not even close. If he capped pre-flop with 89s (or 35 or 58) then say "Nice hand" to him. It is much more likely even for a Superlag that he has an underset or worse here.

Edit: Oops. I didn't realize I was in the Mid-High Stakes forum. I thought I was looking at a $3/6 hand or something. My bad. Still I think you cap this although I defer to those who actually play in these games.

If you were losing to a set, you're not anymore. If he has 89, god bless him. Given his propensity to do what he did with only top pair, what makes you think he wouldn't go postal on the end with a set?

I don't understand what you're concerned about here. How come you posted this hand? Put in another bet. As others have pointed out, its not like you can get 5-bet...

He's a super lag. You have to cap. Tip your cap to that 89 if it pops up and feel lucky you have such a great table.

LOL... I'll take you up on that one even give you odds. Most LAG are smart enough to not raise from EP with 89s although there are some people that are just that crazy!

100$ 2-1 that the LAG doesn't have 89s. Easy Cap on the River. LAG prob. has 10-10.
