Default TPBK against miniraiser?

Game: No Limit Hold 'em ($50+$5)
Level XV: 300 Ante 1,000/2,000 Blinds (100 Minimum Chip)
Average Stack: 50,789.47 (10,000 starting chips)
Remaining Players: 38 (193 started)

Background: Villain has been at the table for ~20 hands and has played ~3 of them. He showed KJo two hands ago when he stole the blinds with a miniraise from the button(figure that?).
Hero has been active lately and has played ~7 hands in the 20 that villain has seen.

I would lead out for about 4000. Villian would have probably raised with an ace, or if he has a bad ace, then you're bet could push him off even a slightly better ace than yours, A6, A7. If you played back at, then you have a decision, but I think it's easier than if you check and the limper bets out. I think you'd win this pot with a bet the 1/3 times you'd need here.

My line (coming from a non-pro, grain of salt, yada yada):

My Ace is secondary. I'm in the big blind, so I want him to think I have a three. I check-call the flop and check-raise the turn.
