What buy-in are these, I'm folding both though unless my reads tell me these guys are maniacs.

1: Fold. Don't risk your great shape on a very likely 50/50.

2: Tough. The double either means he has something very mediocre that he won't commit with or he has a monster that you don't want to run into. I'd personally fold here and hope for a better spot later. BB could also have a hand to get rid of raiser with.

I think hero shoves both in. In the first one, it's important you got the guy covered, plus he's getting somewhat shortstacked, and you've got 99. On a somewhat tight range, you've got 55% against him. I'd think you've got about 60%.

As for the second one, AT is pretty strong, plus he might lay down to your all-in.

I think JJ+ here is a call, 99 seems too low.

In the first, I think pushing is definitely in order. You've got 9's. A lot of the time you're only dodging one overcard here, or are light years ahead of a small pocket pair.

I believe the second is more read dependant. People who usually raise 1/3rd of their stack pf are usally either bad, or have a monster. I think the move depends upon how they've been playing up until this point. If this was this guys normal move or normal way to try to steal the blinds, I say push. If he's been either pushing or folding and this is the first time you've seen him try this, I'd fold.

Both are 22s. The players are pretty average, loose but not maniacal.

Push both. Although, for second hand, I agree with one post that said it depends if this is the first time that villan mini-raised preflop. At least I'd have hoped that I've been looking out for that and have taken notice.

I think this is terrible advice. No reason to be so cavalier, and AT is overrated here. Remember the reverse gap principle talked about here?

Anyway, these hands are too difficult to give advice IMO. That's why you're not getting many posters to provide any. The 99 hand is good if your opponent is a maniac. The AT hand is good if your read is there is a high probability (read 40%) that villain will lay down.

In the end, both of these hands are in the cusp of what constitues good playing hands. In general, the 99 hand is callable, and the AT hand is foldable. I know that Ilya has indicated that he might/would call hand one here with 88.

My bubble play isn't the best but I'd be pushing 99 when I have him covered by 3+BB. Depending on min-raiser's previous actions I would push AT as well. If it was min-raisers first min-raise I defintely be fold AT.
