Partypoker Rakeback - is this a scam?

Actually, you could contact Party to check to see they are an affiliate in good standing without mentioning rakeback.
At least you'd be getting a deal from an established affiliate and not some new guy spamming to get a few players who will disappear soon.

I am thinking references are the way to go, though.

I am just an affiliate like many others in here - no more, no less. We have been with Party for quite some time, and generally I have a pretty good idea what goes on there, but we don't get any preferencial treatment. You could check some of my earlier posts.
