Default 200k Hand

First of all, I followed the directions, and the gd converter does not work.

So, here is raw HH fun.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t10 (10 handed) converter

Button (t1837)
SB (t1855)
BB (t1610)
UTG (t740)
UTG+1 (t1735)
UTG+2 (t2705)
MP1 (t2710)
MP2 (t2790)
Hero (t1365)
CO (t1098)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of t10.
3 folds, MP1 raises to t70, 1 fold, Hero raises to t225, 4 folds, MP1 calls t155.

Flop: (t480) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (t480) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 bets t1200, Hero calls t1140 (All-In).

River: (t2820) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t2820

Thoughts?

What is the advantage of checking this flop as opposed to betting? I would bet in this spot and call a c/r, why leave yourself guessing on the turn if a spade comes?

I am betting this flop I don't want to give a free card to a pocket pair with a spade in it or A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. What I do to a checkraise is read dependant.

It just looks so suspicious to check after reraising preflop.

To be honest, I don't like the check in the flop Chief.

Further Questions:

1. Do you simply call with this preflop?
2. Pretend we raised, and then bet 350 on the flop? Pushed the flop? Not much in the line of continuation you can do into a 450 pot that doesnt do much to commit you. 200? Lots of people say not to check. So, what do you bet, and do you call a CR allin?

1- when I have position, I mix my play 50/50, calling and raising.

2- I probably bet the pot with this flop, and then of course call a CR AI.

The flip side of checking the flop is that when he does have a naked As he can't check-raise you all-in. If the turn is a non-spade he's only got one card to come to fill his hand, which should make it easier for him to fold. So I understand the merit of the play.
Gotta think you're good on the turn unless he hit a freak set.
I think your line is fine; not standard per se but one I've taken in similar spots.
