You Reraise Preflop, The Flop Comes Ace High....

What is your strategy, plan of action when you reraise preflop (whether its with KK or 64s) and the flop comes Ace High.

As they say in ebonics, "we be [censored]".

If you bet, then it makes it easy for Villain to put in a small raise forcing you to either rebluff (suicide) or fold.

If youre opponent is aggressive you can try to be the one to put in the raise post-flop, basically keep checking until he bets then raise him. You'll probably also need to actually slowplay your Ace post-flop sometimes, but then this opens up another can of worms.

Unless your opponent is to aggressive or too passive, you're always going to be on the short end of the stick in this situation.

I don't see why you can't be reraising with AK, even AQ so I think it's not at all likely that villain is going to autobluff here.

In my experience players are for some reason less likely to bluff when the flop comes A high, then when it comes with a broadway card in it. I don't know why this is even though the best time to bluff is when the flop comes A against most TAG's. In most cases I just make a standard contiuation bet, and take it from there.

in general this has to be correct.
against specific opponents given a specific tempo you have going, then otherwise maybe. If your opponent doesn't fold then consider all the zillion things u do in poker and game on.

Yes, I check behind here at least 75% of the time not too dependent on my holdings. Makes it easy to raise the turn and either check behind, or value bet the river. IMO this is the way to win the hand most often while still getting decent value when your ahead (and not losing too much when behind). Obviously vs. passive or overagressive opponents my line drastically changes.

EDIT: I actually don't follow my above advice that often- except against tricky, and good opponents. However when they are tricky, good, and aggressive, I believe pot control is very important.

i forgot to mention im talking about heads up, without position, using the UB blind structure (reraising from the BB). Villian is aware that Hero has a wide range of hands. Hero Acts first.
