I don't know, it seems that at this point internet message boards are enough mainstream that I just say "I read something on a messageboard..." whenever talking about stuff I found at OOT. I believe so, I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard of this particular scene in the movie.
Minus the mixing with concrete and taking to the deepest trench in the world, of course.

They're also 85 years old though, and could give a flying [censored] about email or any of the stuff you and I take for granted.
