Re: What can be learned here?
Formatting seems messed up -- the total pots don't add up. What to learn from this? Well, you did the right thing given the actual holdings -- 75% of the time, or so, you triple up here. So, the lesson you should take away from it is, bet enough on the turn to make someone drawing for a flush make a mistake if they call. Which you did, but they did, and **** happened. Your next four posts should reflect you winning this hand.

Re: What can be learned here?
The preflop min-raise in early position was bad. If you're going to raise, raise. Raising minimum doesn't do anything, 'specially at the 5/10 level. Raising to 20 is just bleeding chips... raise more, limp, or fold (at this level I'd fold this in early position).
This early in a tournament, ATo isn't a very strong hand. Think of the hands that are likely to call you... KK/QQ/JJ will definitely call you, AK/AQ will likely call you, AJ might call you. You're not in very good shape against any of those. You hit a good flop regardless; top two pair is pretty good but vulnerable, 'specially with the flush draw out there which, if it hits, you're drawing to 4 outs. Pretty tough situation... villian's play was questionable too. |
