He's thinking why the %*$# did I limp UTG with this hand? There's no way I'm gonna fold AQ!!!

You're lucky you have tenure...if you were a newb, you'd be in the middle of an all out flame fest for this post.

I know what you mean. There's obviously no value in studying the play of one of the best SNGers out there.

Let's have more, "Is my 200% ROI after 40 games sustainable" posts.

Oh, to SFB's original question, he's probably some rich guy with $215 burning a hole in his pocket who thought his AQ was still good.

Personally, i'm really surprised that you found this situation worth taking time to complain about, it's so normal. Hell, I just went all in with 1200 in a hand at level 4 with 8 players left, got one guy who reraised all in for 1600, and a last guy called us both and was also all in and he flipped up 9 4 off, and i'm still not surprised enough to post about it....if you ask me, these people just got too much alcohol as fetuses, and the rest of us have a lot to be thankful for as a result:P

Apologies if my sarcasm detector is malfunctioning, but all the posts you see with "curtains" in the title are part of an ongoing project by dozens of forum members to improve their play. Curtains, a successful 215'er and one of the most respected opinions on this board, has been generous enough to share his HH's with dozens of members to review and post hands they are curious about. It is an extremely educational and quite valuable project that Curtains was kind enough to volunteer for, although I'm sure it's a mutually beneficial.

Check it out, I'm learning lots.

And now I see 45suited has beaten me to this post.

Skipper, what were the exact stacks? Ever c/r all in here ?

your sarcasm detector is probably broken. my experience w/ poker players has been w/ the real-life kind. 25-30 yrs of it. really superb players, and genuine gups and hard core sickos. never met one who was worth building a "cult of personality" around, nor one who i would believe more than 10% of what they said. you may not believe me: but, the better the player, the more clever, cunning, deceitful, and down-right dishonest i found them to be. perhaps the internet has changed human nature. you believe that?????????????????????............b

Yes, Curtains is playing hundreds of $215's very badly, making all sorts of very stupid mistakes, and then emails the hand histories of these SnG's to 2+2'ers. When they ask why Curtains did something on a hand he will give only terrible advice. All other good players play along with him. They do all that to keep the competition soft.

I knew it all along.

EDIT: and online poker is rigged too.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is your problem? It's clear from some of your other posts you have some sort of problem with curtains. Good for you, but don't clog up the boards with this garbage. I fail to see the "cult of personality" surrounding curtains, at least nowhere near the level afforded other prominient posters (Gigabet, Diablo, etc).

He's not infallible, nor does he claim to be. I don't know the guy personally, but if he was full of hot air all the time he most certainly would be exposed by others in his game, one of the great features of this community.

I doubt he needs me to defend him and that's not the purpose of this post. My concern is that posters with his talent + patience/willingness to teach for free are few and far between, and I don't want the well to dry up because of some assclowns like you.

If you have a problem with him, deal with it, otherwise just put him on ignore and stay out of the discussion.
