Re: JJ vs scary flop
That's okay.
If he didn't cap the turn with the Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] it's doubtful he's going to raise the river with it. You lose one bet either way whether you check and call or bet and get called. |

Re: JJ vs scary flop
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Shill, you check and call this river after the way the turn went? [/ QUOTE ] Not Shill but for the Villain to raise but not cap I feel there's a good chance he has the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. [/ QUOTE ] Do you see the problem with this logic?? If he has the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] he will call our river bet and we lose 1 BB. However if we check, he will surely bet and then our check/call costs us 1 BB as well. The problem with checking is that we get a call from the T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and what not (and he might check these hands behind). Brad [/ QUOTE ]That sounds good but then what do you do if he raises the river? |

Re: JJ vs scary flop
I have a dumb question:
Lets assume villian has nuts. If he smoothcalls the turn 3-bet hoping inducing a river bet, he can raise and win 5 BB's between the turn & river. Doesn't he win those same 5 BB's by capping the turn and getting checked/called on the river? Or is hero supposed to fold this on the river after a turn cap? |

Re: JJ vs scary flop
the 3 bet on the turn is good; there are only 2 hearts that beat you. he caps the turn for sure with the A, and probably with the Q. I think this is a pretty easy river bet.
