Exactly. The check instead of leading out the turn was weak. Cap the flop.

The PF LRR sucks. Not only is it a fishy play in the first place, but you've done it with the wrong hand and at the wrong table. Open for a raise. This is not a 2+2 table.

Your flop CR attempt indicates a serious misconception about when checking and raising is likely to work. You were a major aggressor PF. At the moment when you checked the flop, you had no reason to suspect your opponent would bet. You're very lucky he did. Actually, you're possibly unlucky he did, but we'll see.

The 9 usually did not help your opponent. Your opponent is not afraid of your PF & flop insanity. But becasue AJ is a possible holding for him, I think putting 1 raise in on the turn is a good idea. Call down from there.
