If you right click in the area where the button was placed in IE and then go to customize you can remove it

Doesn't seem to have shown up on my computer -- what's it look like?

Weird.

I hope everyone else joins me in emailing Party requesting instructions for how to remove this junk.

[/ QUOTE ]

I already did. But screw instructions. They installed it. THey can uninstall it.

This is the last straw for me. If this isn't handled by tomorrow I'll go elsewhere.

OK, maybe I'm just ignorant or something, but I honestly don't see how big a deal it is? Its one, easily removable button. Show me they're tracking where I go when I'm online, then I'll rant and rave. Until then, its 3 clicks to peace and and empty toolbar for all you guys...and while you're at it, I hope you've emailed AOL about putting an AIM button there you didn't ask for.

Also, anyone could simply use a different browser. I almost
always use Opera, so I had to get that dusty IE out just to
see for myself!

Thanks for the technical help

You're welcome

Terry is right, get Mozilla. Mozilla is probably the best browser out there, packed with cutting-edge features. etscape is based on Mozilla but Mozilla doesn't come with all the AOL bloat.

The difference is AIM and Yahoo tell you there are doing it and its your choice to install or not.

Yes its easy to remove. But I didn't ask for it and they didn't disclose it. Thats the problem
