Review of New North Jersey Poker Room (NC)

Went to the New Poker room in North Jersey.
Here's the run down.

Time charge = 5$ Per half hour....

A bit high, but they did have free beer and food included,
Overall I'd rather have a lower time charge, but drinking does help the game.

Location = North Jersey right off Turnpike and GSP

Decent location Central to two major roads

Dates opened= Tues Wen Fri and Sun

Since it is new they have trouble bringing in people and is only open 4 times a week.

Room = 4 total tables

Sort of small with only 4 tables with the possibility of squeezing one more in. Overall there the room is a bit small for my liking.

Action = Poor

They had two tables of 1-2NL running although the game played like .5-1 with average stacks of 150ish. Definitly not a game for well rolled two+twoers. Its a good game for Newb.

Player Skill = None

Terrible play, people call too much, raise to little. Its essentially a home game where all you have to do is wait for a hand and show it.

Overall = 3 stars out of 5

I was probably generous since this place is new. I hope based on its location it gets more players in with deeper stacks. I heard on Fridays they spread 10-20 Limit and try to play 2-5NL so it might be worth another shot.

They are also running freerolls on the weekend to increase player base.

I will probably go again in another month to see if they action has picked up. And will post again if the action has improved.

Not sure if they include beer all the time, if they do its good. A lot of these places do this as a promotion when they start then stop doing it when the playerbase gets big.... Add the food was a 8 foot sub if you were curious....
