Default 2 Overpair hands line check. feedback please :)

These 2 hands were both played OOP on similar looking flops, but I feel that I misplayed both of them. Feedbacks appreciated.

Hand 1
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

SB ($247.25)
BB ($865.15)
Hero ($2796.75)
MP ($1346.75)
CO ($971.50)
Button ($541.75)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, MP calls $40, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $40, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

Flop: ($135) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $100</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $300</font>, Button folds, Hero calls $200.

Turn: ($735) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $400</font>, MP calls $1006.75 (All-In), Hero calls $606.75.

River: ($2748.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $2748.50

Read on villan is that he's sLAG with 30/15ish stats but only over 50 hands or so, no other information available.

I'm particuarly interested on what to do after I get raised on the flop, so comment on flop action would be appreciated.

I'm thinking I should have bet at least 500 on turn, and then it's an autocall after I get raised again...anyways that's about it for this hand.

Hand 2
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) converter

CO ($1260)
Button ($985)
SB ($1612.25)
Hero ($989)
UTG ($2475.55)
MP ($1059)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $25</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $65</font>, CO calls $50.

Flop: ($155) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $120</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $300</font>, Hero calls $794 (All-In), CO calls $614.

Turn: ($1983) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($1983) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $1983
No read other than 30/10 stats over couple hundred hands.

I'm thinking I made a mistake by committing more money after his flop raise, as there isn't much I beat here.

thanks

imagine if youd checked these flops, or maybe bet alot less.
after you bet the pot and get played w/ on these uuugly boards, folding is an option.

i agree though i think hand 2 is a fold when you get played with.

hand 1 - if you're getting it in, you're far more likely to be ahead when you c/r the turn all in. look how little fold equity he has! and he still pushes! in this case, we're beat. if we c/r turn all in we trap when he is aggressive with his draw. folding is another option but your line was the worst of the 3 imo.

I would play every street differently than you did in hand 1. I would limp pre-flop because limp-reraising is fun. I would check the flop for various reasons. I would fold to the flop raise if I'd bet. If I called the flop raise it would be because I thought he had a draw rather than a hand beating aces, and I would lead the turn all-in so that he couldn't call profitably with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (or some weaker draw). If I decided to underbet the turn I'd probably fold to the raise (getting 4.5:1) unless he was dumb, since I'd guess I had between zero and five outs.

Hand 2 is much simpler. I fold to the flop raise.
