Default STOP USING SIMPLEMINE

Sup Bros,

A disturbing thing has happened. My PP account with just under 2K in it was closed. Here's the e-mail...

[ QUOTE ]
Dear Jason,

This message is to inform you that our system has detected another instance of a program that gives unfair advantage over other players playing at PartyPoker.com, being used in your account. As mentioned in our earlier mail to you, PartyPoker.com strictly prohibits usage of such programs.

As per our Terms and Conditions, and as mentioned to you in our previous mail, we have proceeded to close your poker account. Furthermore, any remaining funds in the account are deemed forfeited. We request that you do not open another account in future as it will result in immediate account closure and funds forfeiture.

I removed SimpleMine from the website and request that EVERYONE STOP USING IT. As stated in my previous thread I cannot be held liable for any damages.

STOP USING IT
STOP USING IT
STOP USING IT

Thanks,
J

Just wondering, could this possibly be because you got the bot test, even though you only observed? In that case you might've missed the test, and in that case deemed a bot.

I'm a bit concerned since i myself am getting those bot tests often - completing them though.

Another question. It says "another instance", have you been using other apps? Have you gotten a previous warning?

Well,

Timeline
================================================== =========

2005June28 - PPsends e-mail saying there's an instance of some program running that's against their terms and conditions. Cease and desist. All I've ever used is PT and PV

2005June28 - G-mail spam filters said e-mail
2005June29 - SimpleMine Written
2005July2 - E-mail in OP sent to me...Account closed

I can't see what they're talking about on June28 because I've only ever used PT and PV.

I've called CS to see what's up. They've escalated my situation and I have to wait for 48 hours.

Thanks
-J

A box requiring you to enter som obfuscated text, proving that a human is sitting at the comp.

Default Offshore Anything Goes

This is totalitarian.

Based on the information provided...
Party has made no specific charge...
Has not identified "illegal software"...
And has not provided any proof to anyone.

Now all they have to do is ignore emails...
And $2,000 goes straight to the bottom line.

Wanna bet that within hours...
A Party Poker shill comes on here to muddy the waters.

Actually I'd like to add a theory.

I didn't use SimpleMine...
Because it said 1st 4 tables...
Which implies to me...
That you are reading the SysListView32 control...
That displays open tables...
(I can read it... but it's not the way to go)...
And just clicking on the first four...
Because being selective is far more complicated.

So you're bombing a custom control...
With external messages...
And maybe Party can see this happening.

Hacking their custom control...
Would clearly be against TOS.

That's why simplistic approaches to mining and bots...
Are doomed to failure.

When I hear some genius say they did something in a day...
I shake my head... live and learn, pal.

I get them at least once a nite using the MTH

Can you confirm with party that all is well, it should be fine cause we aren't collecting or abusing data, simply making it more effecient to play more tables which should make them happy, suprised they haven't offered to make you a share holder

Could you check though? I think this problem is all about what they deem as misuse of data...

I also get them frequently using MTH. I did send Party tech support an email some days ago. I explained in detail what MTH could do, and the limitations of it, and finally i asked them if it was okay. I have yet to receive a reply.

I'm pretty sure we're safe as long as we don't get their warning mail.
