Default Bad (B)eats at the WSOP

I can't decide during which event I got bent over the worst:

Paying $3 for a (non-Starbucks) cup of coffee.
Paying $8 for a piece of pizza and a soda.
or
Paying $21 (plus tip) for three eggs, sausage, toast, orange juice and coffee.

Thank you, Rio. My arse hurts.

The Rio has one of the top seafood buffets in Vegas. Quit crying.

What, do you work for the Rio? Nice Red Herring.

Dude, I'm talking about coffee, pizza, and breakfast. Who the heck said anything about their buffet? [which I'm sure is fabulous]

I actually was happy with the sandwiches being offered - and with a soda for $8 seems fine to me. Play in the poker room and the drinks are free, even Red Bull..

Try the Bellagio, you can get a cup of soup for $5 or a sandwich for $8.95 and a soda is $3 at "Snacks" next to the poker room............

Maybe it does but when you enter a WSOP event you get a coupon for $10 off the Rio buffet - but the Carnival buffet NOT the seafood one. Surely they can extract enough juice from $1500 to stop being such tight bastards.

The approx $30 per plate they charge for the seafood buffet is well worth every penny. With an average appetite you can easily eat well more than $30 worth of crab legs, lobster, prime rib, or jumbo shrimp. Not to mention everything else on the spread.
I won't say that the Rio couldn't be a little more hospitable and give everyone a better deal. I'm just saying the seafood buffet is great and worth every penny.

I wonder if we LA players realize how nice we have it regarding casino food (served tableside, from half-decent to very good, and usually comped at limits 10/20 and above).

Just don't order too much when stuck (a common weakness in my experience )

Rick -
Could I order enough to feed a family of 7? If so do you need any more props? The rain is getting a bit annoying up here, and my half off comp on the super size pizza at the Muck just isn't all that. It doesn't even come with a bag of chips.

Rick,

If they decided to move the WSOP to your casino, you would be probably paying $6 for a cup of coffee and your comp would only pay the tax on your meal. Both the Rio and Harrah's are taking advantage of the players and it's not just the food. I had called for room rates and the Rio wanted $349 a night and Harrah's wanted $329. I talked to Greg and he rented a house for the month instead of staying at the hotels. I stayed at the Barbary Coast for $53.99 a night, except for fri and sat were $108.

Good Luck

Mark

Only if they all gamble and none are under 21.

Don't work at the Bike anymore. Left peacefully.

You shouldn't eat chips or fries anyway
