i don't like it. you wanna see the turn for 1 sb, not 2.

I don't see any reason to bet into a field of 7 players with high card ace. I don't think you will fold any better hands except maybe a 2 or 3 from BB, and your equity isn't huge in a 7-way pot. I'd check/call this and see what the turn brings, probably betting out if improved (unless that improvement was a five).

Isn't there a hand like this in SSHE in the flop play quize? The pot was much bigger in that example, though.

I like check/calling.

Betting out seems ridiculous against 6 opponents, with A high + a gutshot & backdoor flush draw. So I can see the urge for the check/call line that a lot of people are pushing.

However, given the size of the field & the nature of this flop, I think you can be almost certain that it will be at least 2 bets to Hero if he checks, which will be difficult at best for him to justify calling. If he wants to see the turn (and I would, in his place), it seems better to bet/call than check/hope for no raises...ideally, an EP raise of his bet might clean up Hero's ace outs as well.

So in that light, I like betting the flop.

thank you for getting out that clean up the ace outs thing harv, i have trouble playing two tables and trying to think about a post [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

we have 7 legit outs so calling a raise shouldn't be a problem. Protecting our hand might be...check/raise flop might work from a mid/late position better?
