I get Q9o on button I make it 40. We are shorthanded. One unknown has about 800.

Flop Q98 all hearts. check, I bet 80, he calls. Turn black 7. He leads in for 80. I call. River 9. He checks. I go all in.

Goot?

Has this guy witnessed any other big river bets from you?

I actually like this alot. Given it's button steal v blinds he cant assume you have a big hand, so he could be checking with the intention of snapping off a bluff with a wide range of hands. (The fact the board paired might not scare him off from a low flush, maybe)

Also, if he has something like A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] he's not calling anything.

Well I like it. He either has complete crap, or a flush+. I think he would be more aggressive with a straight. Even if he has one you aren't going to get much from him. By pushing all in I think any boat calls you and maybe some flushes. If you bet, say, $200 I think the same range calls you.

i think the hand range is wider for the BB than flush/complete crap, alot wider so it isnt as simple as either hes calling all in or nothing, even though i do like the push

I would actually value bet this river(something between $250-$400). IMO, a good player may call a pot sized bet with a straight or a flush but probably not an all in considering the board paired. I am interested to see the results.
