OK, perhaps it's now time to change the title of this thread to "Goodbye, US, Nice Knowing You". Italy? Loss. Czech Republic? Loss. Ghana? Winnable, but Ghana is talented and have won multiple Youth World Cups. Ouch. This could have gone a LOT better for Sam's Army. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

not a great draw. USA will have to pull of the upset of the Czech's. Czech's will be a sizable favorite, but not a gigantic one

What makes it real tough is that Italy/Czech play their last match against each other. If Italy beats US and Ghana, they will be resting many of their stars. We need a draw with Italy.

Very tough draw for the U.S.

Interesting that the three seeds that seemed most vulnerable (France, Spain, and Mexico) got relatively easy draws.

that is a fricken travesty

Czech Rep is about equal to Portugal. Ghana is better tha Angola, and the USA - who has been better than Mexico, gets to play Italy, and Mexico gets to play Iran.
