youll get paid by AK on the river like every time. super easy value bet. unless you thought he would try to value bet AK and were going for a sexy?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was pretty sure villain had overcards (or I would have heard from him) but not necessarily AK. While he almost certainly calls with Ace high he does not necessarily do so with just K, Q or J high, although he might bluff with those hands. That was my rationale although I felt dirty checking and immediately PM'd a 2+2er via IM that I had missed an easy value bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he wants to bluff you raise you, GOOD. You are ahead on this river like 95% of the time after that action.

Compromise at 97.5? occasionally people wait till the river with aces or kings. Would you be sure enough to 3bet if he raises?

Inspired by bdk3clash I decided to take a shot tonight at $10/20. This is literally my first ever Party $10/20 6-max hand.

I did watch a few orbits so my only read is that button is slightly loose and aggressive but not a total LAG as far as I could tell.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, 1 fold, CO calls, Button 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls, UTG calls, CO calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, CO folds, Button calls.

Turn: (8.25 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (10.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

Thoughts?

[/ QUOTE ]

As soon as I checked I kicked myself for not betting. I agree with what everyone is saying here. Anyway, Button had K9s and, to nobody's surprise, MHIG.

As others have said, bet. He definitely doesn't have a 3, and the way, he's played it, you are almost certainly good.

I fold this pf and bet the river every time (at 3/6). Is the pf call that straightforward?

[/ QUOTE ]
Thinking about his a bit more, I realized I'd probably cap TT every time. It doesn't seem like this is consistent at all. Help?

[/ QUOTE ]

Playing 5/10, I'd be inclined to fold this too, absent a good read. Is this an easier call at 10/20? Or is it an easy call - without a read - even at 5/10?

I think so. Most likely you're getting 5-1 preflop. Even if you just check-fold every time you don't flop an overpair or a set you will make a profit here.

Guy.

So you think that, from the bb, it's worth calling 2 bets with any pair? I'm not challenging you, just want to be clear.

Also, don't we need to be concerned about the possibility that utg will cap?
