Default River decision with TPTK

This is another hand from my first 10/20 shot, although a different table from my other hand post. This table is much more aggressive. BB in this hand is a maniac (or just tilting very badly) and has been losing a lot.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB caps</font>, BB calls, Hero calls, CO calls.

Flop: (16 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, CO calls, SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB caps</font>, Hero calls, CO calls.

Turn: (14.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, CO calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls, CO calls.

River: (23.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls, CO calls.

Final Pot: 26.50 BB

I felt just sick about not raising the river here. Comments?

What else could BB do to you to prove he had a set?

IŽd much rather cap the turn than IŽll raise the river.
You arenŽt expecting CO to fold AK or better to a riverraise are you ?

He was playing many hands this way and he was not showing down sets.

BB had Q5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and CO has KJo and MHIG.

Against this very aggressive BB (maniac, tilting or both), who could have a very wide rannge of hands (as in like worse than he actually showed down here), I am still torn between going for the overcall as I did and raising. If I raise I will have to pay off a 3-bet when he has a better hand since I can't fold. However, I expect that he will often three-bet the river with a worse hand like the one he, in fact, held, which makes the prospect of facing such a three-bet not so bad (given that I feel I am very often ahead here).

Still not sure what is right. Any other thoughts are appreciated.
