Default Many Multi-Tablers at your table... +EV or -EV

I was playing the other day, and some player was cussing folks out. I scanned his handle an found he was playing 3 tables.

So I started checking around, fully 50%-60% of the players on my table were multi-tabling.

Are all these players presumed to be pros or winning players?

So does this indicate I'm playing in a shark tank?

Hi TStoneMBD,
I'm not sure I understand your response. LOL!

What I'm trying to determine is:

- Is multi-tabling a sign of superior skill? Or do the weak players do it too?

If game selection is "Job 1" seems that knowing the answer to this is useful.

If say 90% of all multi-tablers are work-a-day successful grinders... then avoiding tables chock full of them is a prudent move, be ye fish or be ye shark (wannabe in my case. LOL!)

Since this was Party Poker I noticed this at... I have to wonder if it's the fish tank it's reputed to be.

I've seen fish multitable, but they tend not to in general I think.

i think it should be pretty obvious that in general, multitablers are good players. as a result, you should avoid them. you should have some sort of stattracking program though.

FWIW I can't remember a single time that I looked up the fish on my buddy list and someone was multi-tabling. Well, maybe occasionally one is in a tourney and a ring game at the same time, but that doesn't count in my book.

the multitabling fish are a rare commodity. you have to sit down with them using your different screen names on the different skins so they don't catch on that you're following them.

I play primarily at Pokerroom, and I have seen several fairly bad players multitabling. I think at the 3/6 and 5/10, it's just as common for a 4-tabler to suck as it is for a 4-tabler to be a TAG.
