Quickly import Absolute Poker Hand History into PokerTracker
If you use poker tracker and have a yahoo e-mail address you are familiar with how long it takes to import your hand histories into poker tracker. I have spent several hours on my P3 laptop (yes I know it’s a piece of crap <grin> ) coping and pasting the internet e-mails Absolute Poker sends you into a text file so they can be imported. I figured out a way to speed up the process this afternoon. Below are the steps you need to follow.
Log into Yahoo Mail Select the Hand History e-mail that Absolute Poker sent to you. In the upper right corner there is a link for Printable View. Select this link. This will open another window in Internet Explorer with the hand history in a printable format. In Internet Explorer Select File Select Save As In the File name type: 1.txt In the Save as Type Select: Text File (*.txt) In the encoding Select: Western European (Windows) Select OK. This will save the yahoo e-mail as a text file on your hard drive. Repeat the steps above to create a text file for each e-mail Absolute sends you for hand history’s. Be sure to use unique file names for each e-mail. For example 1.txt, 2.txt 3.txt. Once you get to Poker tracker you can select all the files you created above by holding the shift key and highlighting each of the files. Bob |
