Good play or no?

I figured Short stack had nothing big. A small pair/2 Broadways/a weak ace was my hand range on him.

Caller I put on extremely weak. Usually in this game they'll re-raise with 99+, AQ+. So I put him on a small pair (like 55 or another weak ace, like A9)

So, I pushed.

I think this line is solid. You can't fold, because of the fairly huge range of hands sw33tang3l is calling with. A small percentage of the time he may be slowplaying a monster, but most of the time I think he has A or K high here and is looking to pick up some free chips from the desperate shortstack. You want to get HU with the raiser here, so pushing is the only option.

Personally, I think you are risking far too much here for what is very likely a very mariginal call of AI - if it stood alone. I DO understand/appreciate the reasoning. But throw in a bit of uncertainty regarding the blinds behind and the orginal caller, I fold this pretty easily.

Marginal call..? If the t410 stack pushes and it folds to you with ATs, and t2400 behind, at 75/150 this is surely one of the easiest calls ever.

I'm not sure about the push though after the flat call. I'd need a read or something to do it.

tigerite--given that there is a flat call, what do you do? Folding seems like a big mistake to me. Is a call okay, hoping for a free showdown if you miss?

I'm not overly enamoured with a call either for 1/6th of my stack. If I had a read on the flat caller as any way decent I would fold. I don't think I would flat call very often at all here.

I'm not thrilled about flat calling had it been folded to me - for 1/6th, as you mention. I'm also not certain about laying 16bb's not closing the action (we have both blinds, and an EP limper). Granted, shortie is short of 3bb's. But he's also 2 seats away from cutoff...UTG+1 has already openened...he's pushing through 7 opponents. 'Marginal' might be a stretch, but I have a hunch 'easy' might be as well.

I'm sure the math will be fun at an almost full table - have some free time today?
