Default Some Math To Prove How Stupid Party Is

I see these posts about the Players Club points for the cruise so for sh!ts and giggles I decided to do a little fun with math.

So you need at least 30,000 PCP's during the time period mentioned and need a total of 50,000 for the cruise. Here's an example that proves how Party is just stupid.

================================================== =======

I go to work and solicit 22 fellow co-workers who have never played poker on the internet before. I get them beforehand to all create Neteller accounts and I transfer money to each account. I get their email addresses and send them a TAF through Party.

I then get them all to agree to create a Party account, deposit in $50 using the TAF code. The deal is they all do this at midnight, make the deposit, open up 4 tables of $1-2 limit and fold every hand until they have collected the 125 raked hands.

I walk away with a cruise package.

================================================== ========

Now time for the math behind it.

22 TAF's would get me 52,500 points meaning I wouldn't have to play 1 hand of poker.

I deposit $60 into each person's Neteller account. TAF only takes $50 deposit but you'll see later the reason for $60.

22 people x $60 = $1320

So right now, I'm now -$1320 overall from my quest.

HOWEVER, from my 22 TAF's, I get $50 bonus from each. So, in the end, I am in the hole -$220.

My 22 co-workers playing $1-2 (77% of the hands are raked) would play on average 195 hands so lets just say 200. To play 200 hands, every 10 hands will cost $1.50 in blinds. They will have to pay the blinds 20 times for a total of $30 spent.

Giving them each $60 in Neteller will give them around $58 to deposit. Once they complete their end of the TAF, they'll get a bonus of $25. That extra $8 should cover the difference to make sure they will end up with at least $50 in their account after the 125 raked hands.

$58 (initial deposit) - $30 (paying blinds) + $25 (TAF bonus) = at least $50 so they can make a cash out.

So, in conclusion, my 22 fellow co-workers make an easy $50 in about 45 minutes of time. I end up with 52,500 points, enough for my trip by 1AM. I ended up paying a total of $220 for a trip package that value is $12,500 and one that could win me millions.

gg Party!

I don't feel like going though and editing my original post, but it wouldn't even cost you $220. I used 150 raked hands as the requirement but it's only 125.

So on average you would play 163 hands. Call it 170 and that would cost you around $25.50 in blinds. So instead of giving each person $60, $55 would probably do lowering your overall pocket money spent for the trip by half to $110.

A guy did that same thing too. Except after he did it, Party support blew him off because they had to wait for their servers to update and blah blah blah.

Nice break down tho.

I saw that and that's why I sat here and did that math. The belief was though that his accounts were fake whereas my example uses real people so there's no chance they could find a technicality to not give me the cruise.

Some Math which sort of refutes your premise that Party is "stupid":

Reported EBITDA for 2004: $350,000,000 USD.

Why leave it at a little fun? Why not do it?

Well that proves someone is stupid.

Do you realize it's not Party? Your scheme costs them nothing because they are already on the hook to give someone the prizes. Quite the contrary they may keep some of those players you recruit. It's the poor schmucks playing four tables around the clock as we speak that are "stupid" if this scheme is successful and snatches the prizes away from them.

In online gambling we need to remember where we are. Party and the other online casinos are not really regulated. They are free to substitute common sense, business sense, or even a sense of justice in place of any rule that is being abused. Sometimes that freedom leads to real problems as we read every day in this forum. But sometimes it means they are free to do the right thing when something like this comes up.

Thats good but EBITDA really is a completely useless tool as a measurement of commercial success, I had a friend who had shares worth a fortune to him in a company that reported EBITDA of £7m for a half year, and had fixed asset additions for the period of £75m, I told him to sell, he never listened, 9 months later the shares are suspended for breach of banking covenants and he has nothing. I don't see Party having the same problem though, it really is a [censored] party.

Regards Mack

I disagree with the idea that there is "no chance"...although I agree with just about everything else you are saying.

There have been instances where party has not paid affiliates because they thought the new sign-ups the person was getting simply were all not playing very much.

since they set their own rules they COULD conceiveably say "look, you just got these 23 players in the same day and they all played EXACTLY 125 raked-hands and stopped" and then say that they believe the RAF's you suddenly got all at once are all too suspicious to award you the cruise.

I'm not saying they WILL do this...I'm just saying that the technicalities ARE, in fact, in place for them to do this if they want to in some of the more obvious situations.

They can make up whatever crap they want about keeping 'within the spirit of the rules' or deny pseudo-RAF's or whatever they feel like doing and nobody can stop them.
