they won't let him play in that suit. because of security issues most casinos out here ban all costumes.

While this is true when selling a commodity such as bubble wrap, laptops or Chef knives. I think you are wrong when it comes to unique items. Selling on eBay is a contract. Perhaps he is not willing to sit in the suit for 8 hours a day fora month for $3,354 dollars. I do agree that he should have started it lower though, perhaps his minimum would be $10,000.

There are many ways to work around an auction ending for too little. You can

a)Set a reserve
b)End an auction without a winner up to 1 hour before closing
c)If you want to be shady, get someone to shill for you

Maybe I should put up a similar ebay auction where I will dress up in a cat suit and meow at the table.

You already meow at the table at it's free.

This is the same guy who spams a website you all have seen in alot of newsgroups and on poker sites with the e-books, just another one of his gimmicks to pick up players for his affiliate business.

I think he's a moron.

Anyway, does a casino have the right to ask someone to leave who is blatantly advertising for a competing business? If someone from the horseshoe went into the mirage poker room with a big wearable billboard promoting the shoe I'm sure legally they could be asked to leave.

Same thing here, the auction is a contract so they have proof that it's paid business advertising and would probably have the right to escort the guy off the property.

yeah...this is pretty much correct.

Obviously they can't discriminate based on race or anything like that...but otherwise it's a private business and they can just say 'we are not interested in accepting your business and kindly request you to leave our private property.'

Something like that.

Additionally, I've seen 'no solicitation' signs at different casinos before.

I think this is not just to prevent businesses from soliciting them...but also to discourage/prevent me from passing out a zillion business-cards at the poker-tables with my party-poker affiliate code or my Amway product or mail-order bride information or whatever.

Again....I wouldn't expect to be tossed if I sat at the Horseshoe wearing my shirt from the Gold Strike (compreting casinos next door to each other).

but, the more I think about it, the more I believe that blatant advertising attempts like this one may in fact get him ejected from most places.

Oh well....nice try dude.
