Default 5-10 live

I usually play 2/4 3/6 on-line. Going to the boats tonight...figured to play 5-10 live. What's everyone usually sit down with in a 5-10, or 4-8 game?

Gee...thanks.

If clarification was necessary...I meant buy in. Here in Mo there is a $500 max buy in to start (loss limits)...didn't know if that's what was a normal buy in or if it was more in the 200-300 range

I usually sit with 200 with at least 200 more in my pocket in case I run cold. If I get down to 100 I'll buy another rack.

Some 5/10 tables can be pretty lively, playing like loose 3/6 tables at times.... if you're at one of those you might want to go ahead and sit with 300 and try to stay above 200.

You do realize that a rack at 5/10 is 500 right?

The reason the other poster was sarcastic to you is that it is a silly question to ask how much to buy in for in a limit game--since, it doesn't really matter.

Sounds like at least a couple of people don't play limit. It definitely does matter, at least if you buy in too low (which is a common mistake, btw).

I play limit. I thought it went without saying that it doesn't matter assuming one always has at least 12BB in front of them.

Jeez.
