There is no way you're beating whatever game you're playing.

I want his chips, not his blind.

note for future: 55 is not a trapping hand.

Your edge here with the PP is pretty negligible. You obviously want fold equity here as taking the blinds is MUCH better than a flip. (It's pretty +cEV and HUGELY +EV as it lowers variance.)

I don't think I made this clear enough. This is a very large leak in a cash game (If you don't understand why, you don't understand poker.), and a HUGE leak in sit and gos (If you don't understand why, you don't understand sit and gos).

I suggest that you review your hand histories because I can't imagine that this leak is isolated.

You're right. I never push. I just limp into the money in 40% of my SNGs. That hand represents every play I make. Maybe one day I can understand poker, but I have little hope.

Dude... why didn't you see the jack coming on the flop then? Huh? Smrt guy?

I also agree there's no way you're beating whatever game you're playing.

I don't get when people do this with crap like 55, A2, and JT. They limp and insta call pushes like they've trapped you.

WTF is their thought process there?

Their thought process is exactly "I am 'ahead,' at least a 51% favorite, so I will win this 100% of the time. Over my last 200 SNG's, I have only won these 70% of the time, so I'm behind my expectation, but still soundly beating these games. Screw you if you don't agree with me because everyone is stupid except for me."
