Default How much tougher? 1/2 to 2/4

I think I am going to move up limits. I did my first 12k hands at 1/2 for 2.6BB/100 with an awful cold streak in there so I think I am willing to risk a move up. I have more than enough bankroll ($1800).

What can I expect moving up to 2/4? Of course there will be a few more better players. Where are the best 2/4 SH games?

You should probably try out the 2/4 game at Stars.

Take a shot. Maybe set a limit of 150BB where if you lose that you drop back down. I hear Stars 2/4 is a much harder game than Party 1/2.

Personally, I think you should stay at Party until you're beating it for over 3/100.

I recommend trying pokerstars 2/4 now. I think the players are as bad as party 1/2, though perhaps in a different way. At stars, they tend to be more weak/tight, than loose/passive. You'll have to make some adjustments, but you will win.

Why would anyone want to play 2/4 SH when party has some nice 2/4 full.

There is no point in staying at a level too long. This will only make the games feel stale and boring. Also, you evolve much faster as a poker player if you challenge yourself with successfully tougher games. If it's a comfort you will pay less rake

Because (at least) PS 2/4 SH has much less rake to pay and you can play easily 100 hands per hour. That said Party 2/4 full is always a nice weak tight game with a good portion of idiots.

And not to forget that some ppl, especially in this thread, enjoy more short-handed games.
