Why not move down in limits. Around 12 K with 0,5/1 and PL NL 25 including Bonus.

If you break 40k consistently playing 5/10 on 6 tables, I will blow you. This can only be possible playing an insane number of hours (well over 60/week).

Why would anyone want to live like that?

If Rika was talking about Limit then you would be correct.

However, he is talking about 5/10 NL (1000NL) on 6 tables.
This is quite possible with a decent winrate.

I don't get why everyone keeps it a big secret, me and my poker buddies tell eachother all the time. How much we're making is like our score card and we're SUPER competitive. When one of my buudies is over 40K for the month on the 20th it inspires me to put in tons more hours for the month.

[/ QUOTE ]

I know some damn good players and not one of them has ever come CLOSE to making 40K in a month.

Take what you read with a very BIG grain of salt.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dude, you have NO IDEA what you're talking about. One of my buddies is up 53K this month so far, he plays 25/50 NL so that's less than 11 buy ins.

And for your information, I'm at 23K so far this month. Once I get good at 6 tabling 5/10 on party I expect to break 40K on my good months.

more like 25 hours/week with solid 5ptbb/100 winrate

[/ QUOTE ]

Looks like someone is going to owe me a [censored]. I prefer one while working and please watch the teeth. I'm at 24K for this month. Give me say till july and I expect to break 40K at least in one of those months.

I'ts 5/10 NL just so you know, try not to jump on people so easily.

I started playing low limit SnGs recreationally with $150 last February, after playing with play money for about 2-3 months. I am now up to a grand total of ~$3000, although I don't keep my casino winnings in my bankroll, so my online roll only has about $2500. I keep records of all my sessions, so I know these are the right numbers. I only usually make about $200-$400 a month by mainly 1-tabling or sometimes 2-tabling the $22s and $11s, except for this month I made a lot from winning a 180 $22 SnG on Stars for $1080 (I owe a lot of thanks to this forum for that by the way). You guys may think I suck, but I am proud of myself. I should probably play more limit ring, because the money seems to grow faster for me that way, but I love SnGs and MTTs. The thing is, being ahead $3000 for a hobby is pretty nice. Any other hobby would of cost me at least that much by now. This year, I plan to make enough to enter the $10,000,000 tourney with Phil Ivey

BTW, I am an idiot with no rakeback deal, and I never bonus whore at all. I guess I should at least get rakeback, huh?!?!

I'll be honest, I lost 34K this year and last year I dropped 53,500. I play 10-20 online, 4-6 tabling. Am I the only losing player here? Seriously?

[/ QUOTE ]
Umm...at the very least I hope you're talking about no limit. Either way, why the hell aren't you either quitting entirely or dropping to microlimits?
