Default Should I have pushed this

Hey All,
My logic was that he might fold, and if he doesn't,I complete my flush 1/3 times. Good?

I wouldn't.

You have too many chips and your hand sucks. I'd complete though.

Oh, postflop!
I'm not very good at playing draws like this. If you had overcarsds I might push -

Calling and missing leaves you short on chips. There can't be too much wrong with folding here.

This is a tough one for me. And even though I would probably end up calling, I think it should be

fold > push > call

I'd be interested in a more informed answer.

It's a standard semi-bluff if you think he's likely to fold a weak Q. It would be stronger with one or two overcards as well.

If he's the type to call with any Q, it's not a good move.

Also, in this particular case, I don't think it's such a great move because you just completed pre-flop, so he has no reason to think you have a strong hand... so he might correctly put you on a draw semi-bluff and correctly call with any Q.

So a donk calls because he's a donk, and a good player calls also, so you're out of luck.

BTW, you should include the buyin and any reads (or lack thereof) with your post.
