Default Clearing Empire Reload

Ok, I have an Empire account with money, but I've NEVER played online (thought about it, which is why I have an Empire account, but then decided I like my B&M and home games too much!). But I got the offer for the 100%/$100 reload, so I thought maybe now is the time to try the online thing.

I understand that for the full $100 bonus I would have to play 10 times the amount in raked hands (1000 raked hands) in 10 days. Is this correct? It seems that at a very low estimate of 50 hands per hour, one would only need to play 2 hours per day for 10 days to reach 1000. Am I missing something (besides the fact that 2 hours would be plenty of time to lose the crappy $100)??

Thanks.

Try playing more than one table.
Playing more than one table *should* help you from playing too many hands (you wont get bored as easy and that will help prevent you from playing too many hands.)

I would recommend trying the 25NL tables when playing more than one table starting out.
To keep things simple only play PREMIUM hands for your first start on more than one table.
If you dont feel comfortable playing more than one table then enjoy your 20 hours of poker to win a $100 bonus.

I usually play 4 tables and can clear these bonuses relatively fast (under 5 hours) and walk a away with a nice profit on top of my bonus.

Good luck on your online poker start!

1) If you play FULL 25PL or 25NL approx. 65% of the hands will be raked, so allow about 1400-1500 hands to clear the bonus.
2) If you play FULL .50/1.00 approx 60% will be raked, so allow 1600-1700 hands
3) If you play FULL 1/2, approx 75% will be raked, so allow 1300-1400 hands

I usually get 50-60 played hands an hour for each table that I play ( I take breaks ). 4 tables NL25 usually takes me about 6 hours to clear.

6-MAX tables clear at a better pace, but if you are new to multi-tabling or 6-MAX play, I would not recommend starting out with them.

Thanks very much -- that's exactly the kind of specific information I was looking for! And while I may be a poker idiot, I'm not about to start out multitabling the 6-max in my first venture online. Actually, I thought I'd play for a few days, and when I crush the game for the inevitable 100BB/hour I read so much about ("Am I too good?"), THEN I'll try that!
